- 1987 - zap.uucp is on-line running Microport's System V/AT on a 10MHz 80286 with 1MB of RAM and a 70MB disk
- 1989 - 386/ix on a 80386 at 20 MHz with 8MB of RAM and 300MB of SCSI disk
- 1992 - 386BSD 0.1 on a 80386 at 20 MHz with 8MB of RAM and 300MB of SCSI disk
- 1993 - FreeBSD 1.0 on the same 80386 at 20 MHz with 8MB of RAM and 300MB of SCSI disk
- 1994 - zap.uucp becomes zap.qc.ca and joins the internet with InterAccess from Kirkland in Canada
- 1996 - zap.qc.ca moves to the premises of InterAccess in Montreal
- 1998 - rax.org obtained for the Paris site
- 2002 - zap.qc.ca achieves over 500 days of continuous uptime
- 2002 - zap.qc.ca moves to WISOL in Montreal after being kicked out by UUNET.CA
- 2003 - zap.qc.ca moves to Xelacom.fr for a fraction of the cost of WISOL's service
- 2006 - zap.qc.ca moves to sivit.org
- 2010 - zap.qc.ca moves to hub.org following a series of hardware-related crashes at sivit.org
